False alarm reduction

Overview

False alarm rates from point of care or hospital monitoring equipment can be as high as 90% or more. Vigilance of continuous monitoring is almost impossible unless large numbers of well trained experts continually over-read each others observations. We have therefore developed a series of quality metrics and false alarm reduction approaches to provide low-cost automation of monitoring with high sensitivity and specificity.
